Thanks for this insight into the series. We often get to hear from an author but less rarely do we hear from scriptwriters. This post gives us just a little window into what was obviously an enjoyable project. I have shared the link on my Facebook page for my friends who are also enjoying the series.

The cover for AUGUST is sheer genius. I hope it wins. I also wish they had separate categories for Middle grade, YA and picture books.

Those costs are all included in the cost of production. The eBook is not independent of the print book unless it is an eBook only title so the cost of producing both is included in the eBook price. When there is both a print book edition and an eBook edition you cannot separate out the production costs.

You conveniently forget the cost of tree farming, harvesting, paper manufacture, ink, printing presses, labor, transportation, fuel, warehousing, multiple shipping costs, and on and on and on!

The original argument published in Crikey also ignored the simple fact that Amazon gave a considerable proportion of their e-book sales away before agency contracts were entered with some publishers. This behavior was not only of Public Domain titles, which not only artificially lowered their a average price, but gave consumers the impression that e-books should be cheaper than their true cost values.

I read this on Saturday while I was sunbaking and couldn't put it down. It's not the most in depth book but I thought the characters were well-developed and enough mystery was maintained until the end.

An interesting storyline, nice to see something that hasn't fallen into the vampire trap like everything else lately.

I loved the book so much. I was stuck to book till 2am in the morning coz it was so interesting. I would defiantly recommend this book for people that like books that have, some detective stuff in it as well as funny romance. So the book isn't to big to read and the texts not to small either. So if you have for reading then this book would be good to read.

This is an inspiring, humorous novel. it displays irony, sarcasm and exaggeration. Not only did this biography touch the hearts of the readers but it also shows how life was back then

i mean how freaked out would you get if a couple of pirates boarded your little fishing boat and threatened to kill you ?

Anh Do makes fun of situations which may not be as funny typically in the asian accents

i would recommend this novel to everyone of all ages.

you havent read anything until youve read Anh Do's ''the Happiest Refugee''

Anh Do is a LEGEND.
