James Patterson’s latest book in the ‘Private’ series, Private: No. 1 Suspect (Century), finds Jack Morgan, founder of the world’s best investigation agency, Private, in the spotlight as the number one suspect in the murder of his former lover. While Morgan fights to clear his name, he must also fend off the mob by recovering millions of dollars lost in stolen pharmaceuticals and discreetly investigate a string of murders at a luxury hotel chain at the behest of the chain’s beautiful owner. The book tops both the bestsellers and fastest movers chart this week. Lauren Kate’s Fallen in Love (Doubleday), featuring four intertwining love stories and set in medieval England on Valentine’s Day, is also on both the bestsellers and fastest movers chart, in second place.  A Crown Imperilled (Raymond E Feist, HarperVoyager), the latest release in the ‘Riftwar Cycle’ fantasy trilogy, is top of the highest new entries chart–Weekly Book Newsletter.
